Playing Very Large Videos in Mplayer

Leeet's say you have a video. A large video, about .... 2000x1000 in size. Oh noes, mplayer on your crappy laptop won't play it!

For some video codecs, you can overcome this by only playing at a reduced resolution. Using the lowres=1 option will play at half resolution:

mplayer -vo x11 -lavdopts lowres=1 frames-roller-nomask.avi

Yay!
