Mplayer and VDPAU video acceleration

Maaybe you've gone to the effort of getting a shiny new Nvidia card capable of vdpau decoding (ie. the video card assists in video playing). However, to your sharp and immediate disappointment, things don't look much better: your hidef videos are lagging and CPU usage is still high. Man, that sucks.

Maaybe you can try this:

mplayer -vc ffh264vdpau -vo vdpau

and things might be better. Maybe.
