Gnome Session Files

It is possible that you want to automatically start up some specific applications when you run gnome. But you want a little more control over exactly what goes where, so you were thinking you might just go and directly modify the saved session. But where are they?

For Gnome 2.26, the individual applications seem to be saved to this directory:
$HOME/.config/gnome-session/saved-session
There are multiple files in that directory, each corresponding to a single application that is to be run.

Hmm, sure would be nice to be able to maintain multiple sets of session and choose between them.
